I really did have a wonderful time at the Sloth and Wildlife Rescue Center and enjoyed working closely with the sloths.
What was most memorable was definitely interacting with the sloths for the first time and closely observing their behavior, each one truly has a unique personality, just like people! Watching a juvenile sloth transition to living outdoors full-time and seeing her get closer to being released into the wild was something really special.
The social and community aspect of the project was great and I admire and respect the work of the rescue center! I wish the other volunteers and staff all the best and commend them on their hard work. Everyone generally seemed very happy and relaxed, living the Pura Vida life!
Whether it’s one year, two, or five years from now, I look forward to contributing again!
