GoEco > Volunteer Abroad > Volunteer for Whale Sharks
Whale sharks are the largest, most majestic animals in the sea! Over the last 11 years, there has been an 80 percent decrease in the Mozamibque whale shark population, which is where you come in. Volunteer in Mozambique to contribute to the conservation of these large sea animals, or volunteer in the waters of Belize to photograph them. Photos collected from both projects will be added to online databases that are accessed by scientists and marine biologists for data and preservation purposes.
